Draw Every Day in 2025: Day 2025

Today, I got up at 7 (usual time: I have to inject our diabetic cat!), and after sorting the cats out I lit the fire and started drawing.

This is Space Kitties, based on a tutorial by Mark Kistler (I’ve been drawing with him for a year now). Check out his YouTube channel.

This morning my drawing was sountracked by Rae Morris (her album Rachel@Pianoland), Ezra Glatt (the album Endless and November Ultra (the album Bedroom Walls

Around midday we had a delivery of firewood so got that in (before expected rain) and took our dog for his annual vaccinations

Have a lovely Saturday everyone!

Day 003, Draw Every Day in 2025

Good morning!

Today, I drew this musical seahorse, based on the tutorial by Mark Kistler (Check out his YouTube channel here)

My drawing was sountracked this morning by the wonderful Rachel Sermanni, a Scottish singer songwriter. I listened to her albums Dreamer Awake and So It Turns.

Rachel is one of the singer/songwriters who contributed an end song to the excellent podcast Strangers on a Bench. It is my favourite podcast of 2024

Have a lovely day.

Day 002, Draw Every Day in 2025

Good morning!

It’s the second of January 2025.

I drew this, this morning:

It was based on a drawing tutorial by Mark Kistler (you can find his YouTube channel here)

While drawing, I listened to the soundtrack to the podcast Strangers on a Bench, as well as an album by the host of the podcast, Tom Rosenthal.

The podcast features some really beautiful songs, all based on the stories of the Strangers on a Bench Tom speaks to. The songs are written and performed by different singer songwriters (so a great way to discover new artists to listen to). The music is perfect to draw to.

It was a beautiful start to the day. While walking the dog, I stopped for a moment to stand and admire the earth’s art as the sun painted the sky

Have a wonderful day.

Love and Hugs ❤️
