Happy May Day! International Workers Day and Friday!
May Day is a traditional day to celebrate the beginning of Summer (here in Europe the pagans thought the solstice, 21 june, was mid summer). May Day was also adopted in Europe (and other parts of the world) as International Workers Day, in the late nineteenth century. It is a bank holiday in many countries for one, or both of these reasons. And it’s Friday, so Every Friday SHOULD be a Bank Holiday, right?
It is fete du travail here in France. Although I am working (we have a full B&B and I have a stall at the Felt Festival here in Felletin, Creuse).

I have made a little film (only 34 seconds) to celebrate the European days of Felt festival which started on 27th april and runs until 3rd may. There is a market selling goods, wool and works of art in Felt which will be held on Friday 1st and Saturday 2nd May 2015. You can find me there (in one of the marquées) outside the salle polyvalente in Felletin
