Positivity Buzz of the day

Here are three positive things from today:

1) I wrote some more blog posts and had some lovely feedback from those published

2) I finished three pairs of earrings (dragon theme)

3) The weather was much better than forecast, which meant I had two lovely walk with Andrea and Basil the dog, as well as a bit of time felting in the sunshine!

Hope your day was good, and tomorrow even better.

Spotlight on Kozmic Dreams

Today I am going to have a look at Kozmic Dreams.

The first thing to say about Kozmic Dreams: I absolutely love the name.

Kozmic Dreams is owned and run by Laura Whitford. She makes her own designs and sells unique knitted and crocheted owls, cats and more. Each one she makes has it’s own personality and no two are the same.

You can find Laura at many craft fairs around Royston. Recently she was at Knebworth House Country Fair.

In the virtual world you can find Kozmic Dreams on Etsy, Twitter and Facebook. Her facebook page is great because she shares things that interest her (and me!) as well as information about Kozmic Dreams, and she is great at interacting with her followers and fans on both Facebook and Twitter.

Today’s top 3 Felt.Buzz positives

Hope your Sunday was good folks.

Here are three reasons why mine was good:

1. Painted an old grill I am going to use to display my earrings and other things

2. wrote several blog posts some posted today, some ‘in the bag’ for later posting

3. made another butterfly brooch

Hope you have had a good weekend 🙂

Spotlight on COLDHAM CUDDLIES

Today the Felt.Buzz Spotlight falls on Coldham Cuddlies.

Coldham Cuddlies is run by Isobel Morrell, who has been making these toys and mascots since the 1950’s. She has had an Etsy shop since 2010. What is fantastic is she uses patterns she has been collecting for 60 years so her toys have a real vintage feel. The toys are made using unusual faux fur and colourful plush fabrics. They are all stuffed with polyester fibre, meeting all international standards – and are made in a totally smoke-free environment. They are long-lasting, cuddly, safe for everyone from birth to the Third Age.

Isobel has a good internet presence, she uses facebook, twitter and has a blog as well as her Etsy shop. She certainly uses these mediums really well, and it is worth befriending and following her – she retweets and is fun to interact with.

So if you are looking for a safe vintage toy go and check out Coldham Cuddlies.

Today’s positive buzz

Today was a good day. Here are just three reasons why:

1) I spent 3 hours at the Boutique du coin in Vallière, had a chat with some nice people, and the sun was shining

2) Made a felt butterfly whilst ‘working’ in the boutique. I had set a goal to make a butterfly this weekend so objective achieved!

3) Had some good feedback on my creations on Twitter and Facebook today: warms the cockles of my heart, so it does.

Hope you had a good day 🙂
